Carter Meets Katie

On Friday Katie finally got to meet Carter. She was so excited to see him in person (Katie is Terry's only niece).
Carter now weighs 4lbs 14oz.

6 weeks

As of tonight Carter weighs 4lbs 13oz.
It is hard to believe that he is 6 weeks already and to watch his progress so far. Not a big interest in a bottle, but soon. Only 3 more ounces and he will be out of preemie clothes. The preemie diapers are just starting to get a little snug.

Hi!

Carter now weighs 4lbs and 8oz. He is starting to fill in!

Five weeks old!

Carter now weighs 4lbs 5oz. He is in the crib and wearing clothes.


This morning he was able to try and feed from a bottle and did great. He had 5cc which is great for a first timer!

Closer to a Crib

As of last night(sunday) Carter weighed 3lbs 15oz and is 16 1/2 in. Not to much longer till he can try a crib.

1 Month

Today is Carter's 1 month birthday!
For his Brithday he meet his very first cousin!

Carter's Move!

On Friday August 15th Carter was moved from P/SL to Avista. Avista is a closer hospital for Terry and I to get too. They have a smaller NICU; but is nice because he is 1 of 6 babies at the moment. We really miss Carters favorite nurses from P/SL but we are getting to know his new staff. While he is at Avista he will be seen by his pediatrician. This will make for easier transition when we go in for his check-ups.

Carter is doing well. He now weighs 3lbs 9oz. When he gets to 4lbs he can be moved to a crib.

Thursday morning he will be taken off his little bit of oxygen completely. They will see how he does with breathing on his own. I will keep you posted and update pictures without anything in his face (except the feeding tube).

Carter's First Bath

So Carter is on his full feeds now at 30cc (1oz) every three hours. He now weighs 3lbs 6oz. His air flow is still the same.


Today was Caters first bath and loved it. He didn't cry untill the nurse had to change all his leads that are on his tummy(they are for his heart and body temperture). After the old one's were off he was fine!

Carter's 3 week update!

Carter now weighs 3lbs 3oz. He is at 27cc of milk every 3 hours.
Last night they brought down his nose air to what is considered low dose. So far he is taking it very well. (We forgot the camera, new pictures will be posted later on this evening.)

Carter is doing well. He is taking the feeds as they are increasing . He started at 2cc last week and is now up to 18cc today. The goal is to get to 30cc (1oz) every 3 hours.

As of Sunday he was able to go poop without any help. This shows the Dr that things are starting to work properly.
